I wanted to cover my glass cooktop, so I could use that section of my counter as a buffet when I entertain. It fits perfectly over my cooktop. Lays flat. I do not use the hooks provided and may cut off the loop connectors. For now, I just tuck them under. I’ve had it about 3 weeks. I haven’t tested the “heatablility”, meaning, taking a cooking sheet from the oven and placing it on there. I’ve used a hot plate. It’s easy to roll up and store and I’ve used it a few times as my “buffet” and it’s easy to wipe up spilled food.
